Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Why Enable 2FA?

Two-factor authentication means a stolen password alone cannot access your account. Even if your password is compromised, attackers still need your physical device.

Setup Steps

1. Download an authenticator app: Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
2. Go to Account → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.
3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
4. Enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app to confirm setup.

Recovery Codes

After enabling 2FA, download and securely store your recovery codes. These can be used if you lose access to your authenticator app.
